To setup the notification service that will help your staff locate residents, and know when they move to an unsafe or dangerous zone, we need to establish the order in which the staff will be hierarchically notified.

RESIDENT HENRY

 

Henry is a resident at a nursing home. Even though he has certain challenges regarding his memory and wandering, at his nursing home he is able to do what he likes after breakfast and go for a walk everyday.

HENRY GOES FOR A WALK

On Tuesday morning he decides it is a beautiful day to go for a walk. After a little while Henry enters a Geozone that, for his safety, is a red zone.

HENRY’S NOTIFICATION ALARM

 

Immediately a notification alarm is sent to the Local Nearest Care Giver. Unfortunately at that time the Local Care Giver is not able to attend the matter.

NOTIFICATION ALARM ESCALATES

 

After 5 minutes, Henry’s notification alarm escalates to the next staff in charge, which are the First Line Care Givers. However, everyone is busy and cannot take care of the incident immediately.

THIRD PERSON ESCALATION

 

Three minutes later, the notification alarm escalates to the Nurse Supervisor.

HENRY IS SAFE AGAIN

 

Before the Nurse Supervisor can help Henry, the Local Nearest Care Giver becomes free. Finds Henry on the map, goes to where he is located and makes sure he gets to a Safe zone.

EVERYONE IS NOTIFIED

 

Once Henry is taken care by the Local Care Giver, and he is back into a green zone, every staff member will receive a notification on their devices, that Henry is on a safe zone again. They will also be able to locate Henry on the map and see it for themselves.
